If you are using word press, you would find a dashboard with a blog from the development blog. 8 Hours ago there is this entry that seems to me to be another way to spam users. WDYT?

The dashboard just shows the latest WordPress.org news, as well as titles from unofficial news sources within the community. The hosting page is a community resource that will be modified and updated over time based on community feedback on the hosts currently listed.

Do not take me wrong, I am happy to have the dashboard as I get in touch with the project.
But this would be similar to have a link of apache hosting on the httpd.conf file.
